It was really a long day so far. Hard to believe that it would take almost 10 hours to travel from Wisconsin to Florida. The flight from Milwaukee to Atlanta arrived on time. But the next flight from Atlanta to Gainesville was a nightmare. At first, the inbound flight had some mechanic problems so they had to fix it. After waiting for almost 2 hours, the airline staff told us that a new airplane would be used for the flight. So all passengers moved to a new gate. We waited for another 30 minutes and were told the new flight also had mechanic problems and needed to be fixed. We then waited for another several hours. Finally, we got on the airplane and there were still some glitches. Anyway, it is almost 10 hours between I got to the Milwaukee airport and checked in the hotel at Gainesville. It is very warm but raining.

10-Hour Long Trip To Florida

there is no pleasure in travel for me anymore. It seems like everytime i go anywhere for work, i have to endure some drama such as what you encountered today. Maybe sometime in our lifetimes, we'll be able to travel by train here in the US again. I love sleeping on trains.
Yeah, I agree. I was just happy that I got to the destination before the end of the day.
